- I've got an A1200 with a bigfoor PS and a 3.5" harddrive hooked
- up through a Dataflyer XDS. The HD takes power through the XDS setup (I
- believe it's hooked up near the DD power or so ...)
-
- Anyway, I'd like to add a 2.5" as well, and it seems the XDS'
- cable has a connectore for an internal 2.5"
-
- A few questions though. I've seen people posting about frying
- their motherboards and sych ... is there any danger here? No? Good.
-
- Anyone familar with XDS know that the cable in question is indeed
- set up to accept another 2.5" drive? Anyone? Good.
-
- Now, about master/slave settings ... how does this work? I've
- never seen the applicable switches on a 2.5" drive before. Is it
- automatically master or what? I must then set the 3.5" to slave?
-
- Also, I want to know, should I choose to disconnect the external
- 3.5" for whatever reason, would the 2.5" be affected in any way, as far
- as master/slave or anything else matters?
-
- Thanks for all replies!
